North
East India, where DBCIC is located, consists
of seven States of the Indian Union: Arunachal
Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram,
Nagaland and Tripura. Situated in the extreme
North East of the country, India's North
East has international boundaries with China,
Tibet, and Bhutan, and Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Only a small stretch of land 22 km broad
known as the Siliguri Corridor links the
North Eastern region with the rest of India.
