North
East India has its own peculiar geological
and topographical features. There are snow-clad
mountains bordering Tibet, as well as large
expanse of plains with its sweltering heat,
and pouring rains which fill to the brim
the famous Brahmaputra and Barak rivers.
The gallery by means of large black and
white and coloured photographs introduces
the visitor to the immense topographical
richness of the region. The 20 life-size
models and 52 carefully and scientifically
fabricated fibreglass busts show the physical
features of the various peoples of the region.
